Jack W. Rountree Jr., OD, therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, has a straightforward practice philosophy and says, “I’m proud of my staff and our commitment to give the best medical and optical care to each and every patient because, truly, this is why we are here.”Dr. Rountree specializes in the detection and treatment of medical eye conditions including Lasik and implant contact lens (ICL) evaluations as well as eye examinations for glasses and specialty contact lenses for patients of all ages. 

A native Texan, Dr. Rountree earned a Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry after graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has practiced eye care at Ft. Sam Army Base in San Antonio and in eye care practices in Houston. He is actively involved in community volunteer service and with numerous professional organizations.

Being an optician with 25 years of optical experience, office supervisor Mark Rivas received his optical training in the US Navy at Naval Ophthalmic Service and Training Activity (NOSTRA) in Yorktown, VA. To the practice, he brings experience in the optical laboratory, insurance billing, and direct patient care. Through his vast optical knowledge, he has served as an optical manager for 25 years and is very experienced in all areas in the optical industry. 

As an optician with 19 years of optical experience, assistant supervisor Richard Gray received his optical training at Eyemart, Walmart and Visionworks to name a few.  He brings a strong knowledge of insurance billing, optical dispensing, and direct patient care.With his wealth of knowledge, he has served as an optical manager for 19 years and is very experienced in all facets of the optical dispensary.
